Job summary

Morris Group, Inc., a leading machine tool distributor, is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Technician to service CNC production equipment across customer facilities in the Southeast, including Alabama. You will use manuals and vendor resources to research parts, perform scheduled maintenance, and train customers on proper care.

The role requires travel, strong problem-solving skills, and a professional customer-facing presence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current Valid Class D License in good standing.
• 3-5 years of validated experience within the manufacturing industry.
• Attention to detail with a technical curiosity and strong problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in English verbal and written communication.
• Basic digital literacy and solid understanding of MS Office, Word and Outlook and other business programs.
• Optimally communicate in person and over the phone with customer and co-workers applying customer relation skills.
• Must be adaptable to changes and able to take care of change, delays, or general work-related issues.
• Present a professional image.

Responsibilities

• Daily travel from home to Customer facilities with occasional overnight hotel stays when servicing remote locations.
• Research machine parts and service using manuals and vendor resources.
• Maintain safety and clean, orderly work area.
• Promote and perform preventative maintenance on customer machine tool equipment and provide training to customer employees.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines represented.
• Troubleshoot and repair CNC machines (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic).
