Job summary

Morris Group, Inc., including Morris South, seeks a Field Service Technician to service CNC machine tools at customer sites across the Southeast, including North Carolina. You will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment, using manuals and vendor resources to diagnose issues.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on repair experience, ability to read drawings, strong communication, and willingness to travel with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• MUST have 5+ years of experience with mechanical/electrical repair of CNC machine tools.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and other business programs as necessary.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics.
• Excellent technical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job. This position requires flexible hours, including overtime and occasionally working weekends.
• Frequent travel, including driving throughout a regional territory is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain CNC machine tool equipment.
• Utilize machine tool manuals and vendor resources to research machine issues.
• Ensure proper documentation of repairs and installations for status updates to office and customers.
• Promote and perform preventative maintenance and provide after-sales technical support and training.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of machine tool product lines represented by the company.
