Job summary

Morris Group, Inc., including Morris South, is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, repair, and maintain machine tool equipment and controls at customer sites across the southeast. You will work independently to deliver high quality service and ensure customer satisfaction.

The role requires traveling to customer sites, using manuals and vendor resources to diagnose issues, documenting status, performing preventative maintenance, and applying in-depth knowledge of our product lines.

Qualifications

• Five years' experience with CNC machine repair.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics is required.
• Excellent technical, communication, and presentation skills are necessary.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job including flexible hours and frequent travel.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain all machine tool equipment and controls for customer organizations.
• Utilize machine tool manuals, technical documents, internal and vendor resources to research machine issues.
• Ensure proper documentation is completed and submitted to office and customer regarding status of machine issues, repairs and installation.
• Promote and perform preventative maintenance on customer machine tool equipment and provide after-sales technical support and training.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines represented by the company.
