Job summary

Mac-Tech is seeking skilled Laser Technicians to join our field service team. You will install, commission, and train customers on laser cutting machines while representing our commitment to long-term partnerships.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing systems, documenting parts and activities, and supporting sales with demonstrations. A strong focus on safety, accuracy, and customer satisfaction drives this role.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial fiber laser machines.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
• Proficiency with multimeters and oscilloscopes; CAD/CAM a plus.
• Strong documentation and on-site service skills.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to travel to customer sites.
• Technical training or certification related to lasers or machine repair.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, test, and train customers on laser cutting equipment.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair laser systems and related components.
• Identify parts, replace as needed, and log activities in system.
• Provide exceptional on-site customer service and support.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals for service tasks.
• Log time and expenses accurately in the Service Management System weekly.
• Support sales with product demonstrations and technical expertise.
• Communicate with Service Manager to meet and exceed expectations.
