Job summary

MC Machinery Systems Inc. is seeking a field technician to service Mitsubishi laser cutting systems. You will troubleshoot and repair on-site at customer facilities, perform calibrations, and provide post-repair guidance with clear updates.

The role requires strong diagnostic skills, precision-measure tools, and the ability to travel Monday–Friday across regional sites. The ideal candidate has an electronics/mechatronics background, experience with CNC lasers and electrical schematics, and

Qualifications

Background in machining, manufacturing environments, or industrial equipment.
Ability to use diagnostic gear (voltmeters/multimeters) and precision tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators).
Comfort with Windows PCs and service software.
Clear, professional written and verbal communication.
Able to work at heights and travel extensively Monday–Friday.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Serve on-site at customer facilities, troubleshooting and repairing Mitsubishi CNC lasers.
Perform inspections, component swaps, rebuilds, alignments, and calibrations.
Provide remote triage by phone to expedite solutions when travel isn’t required.
Translate technical findings into updates, timelines, and post-repair guidance.
Use schematics/wiring diagrams to pinpoint issues and execute fixes.
Document actions and submit expense reports promptly.
Maintain tools, test equipment, and service vehicles in readiness.
Contribute to additional tasks to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
