Job summary

Sperry Rail, Inc. is seeking a CDL Driver to operate specialized rail inspection vehicles across eastern or western US. This field-based role requires extensive travel and adherence to DOT regulations as well as safety procedures.

Key responsibilities include driving hi-rail trucks, performing inspections, and collecting inspection data while maintaining equipment and safety standards. A valid CDL with air brake endorsement and strong communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A or B with air brake endorsement is required.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• 2+ years of commercial driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel extensively within assigned regions (3–4 months).
• Operate hi-rail trucks and rail-bound detector cars on roads and tracks.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain DOT compliance.
• Assist with data collection and monitoring on rail inspection operations.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine maintenance.
