Job summary

Sperry Rail, Inc. is seeking a highly mobile CDL driver to operate specialized rail inspection vehicles across Eastern or Western regions. The role demands long periods in the field, strict DOT compliance, and frequent travel.

You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, support rail flaw detection testing, and ensure safety policies are followed while communicating clearly with crew members. This is a demanding, travel-heavy position with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A or B with air brake endorsement.
• Pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check where permitted by law.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role.

Responsibilities

• Travel extensively (3–4 months at a time) within assigned regions.
• Perform field work in varied weather conditions.
• Operate hi-rail trucks and rail-bound detector cars; conduct pre/post-trip inspections.
