Responsibilities include installing aerial/underground cables, splicing fibers, testing signals, and documenting work while complying with OSHA and industry standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0 to 6 months of experience in the field or related area.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure cable systems for internet, TV, and phone services.
• Place aerial and underground cable to connect customer premises.
• Install enclosures, vaults, and other infrastructure components.
• Mark facilities to identify and trace wiring.
• Assist with fiber optic splicing and repairs.
• Perform general construction labor and transport equipment as needed.
• Conduct signal testing and troubleshoot service performance.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
• Complete paperwork documenting work performed.
• Provide assistance to Drop Installers II & III when necessary.
• Follow safety guidelines (OSHA, NESC).
• Provide excellent customer service and explain services to customers.
