Job summary

Bristol Alliance of Companies is hiring a Drop Installer I to support installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telecommunications cables for residential and commercial properties in Honolulu, Hawaii. This role involves working with fiber optic and copper facilities, and requires safe, quality-focused field work.

The position emphasizes on-site installation, adherence to OSHA/industry standards, and dependable completion of tasks with strong problem-solving and customer-service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0 to 6 months of experience in the field or related area.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure cable systems including internet, TV, and phone services.
• Place aerial and underground cable to connect customer premises.
• Install enclosures (pedestals, handholes), vaults, and other infrastructure components.
• Mark facilities to identify and trace wiring.
• Assist with or perform fiber optic splicing and repairs.
• Conduct signal testing and troubleshoot to ensure service performance.
• Provide excellent customer service and explain services.
• Follow safety guidelines and company protocols.
• Complete all paperwork documenting work performed.
• Work on-call, weekends, and holidays.
