Job summary

Via seeks a Quality & Safety Manager in Sacramento to uphold safety, service quality and operational efficiency for our transit services. This in-person role requires being in the field 2-3 days per week and supervising drivers on the road to ensure standards.

You’ll lead on‑the‑road coaching, respond to incidents, manage post‑accident protocols as DER for DOT compliance, and partner with the Field Manager to provide training and continuous improvement while ensuring reliable service.

Qualifications

• Experience in transit supervision or transportation management.
• Strong leadership and mentoring ability.
• Excellent problem solving and quick decision making.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ADA/paratransit compliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise drivers on the road to ensure safety and service standards.
• Coach drivers on safety procedures and customer service.
• Deliver continuous on‑the‑job training and refresher courses.
• Lead post‑accident protocols as DER for DOT compliance.
• Respond to urgent operational issues to maintain service continuity.
• Analyze complaints and training documentation to improve performance.
