Job summary

Shining 3D is seeking a field-based Sales Engineer to provide technical pre-sales support, conduct product demonstrations, and collaborate with regional sales teams. The role involves understanding customer applications, evaluating technical requirements, and recommending 3D scanning solutions.

You will train distributors and customers, participate in industry events, and help drive sales through technical guidance and effective communication. Willingness to travel is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in sales engineering, application engineering, technical sales, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
• Experience with 3D scanning, 3D metrology, reverse engineering, CAD/CAM, or dimensional inspection technologies is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical pre-sales support to the regional sales team, distributors, and end customers throughout the assigned territory.
• Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and proof-of-concept evaluations to showcase Shining 3D's industrial 3D scanning solutions.
• Work closely with Account Managers to understand customer applications, identify technical requirements, and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
• Support customer evaluations, product testing, and technical discussions throughout the sales cycle to facilitate successful sales conversions.
• Deliver product training and technical guidance to distributors, channel partners, and customers to strengthen their product knowledge and application capabilities.
• Collaborate with internal sales, application engineering, technical support, and product teams to address customer technical questions and application challenges.
• Participate in trade shows, industry exhibitions, customer visits, and other regional sales and marketing activities.
• Collect customer feedback, market insights, and competitive product information to support product improvement and business development.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, product demonstrations, and technical activities in the company's CRM system.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support regional sales objectives and business growth.
