Job summary

SHINING 3D is seeking a skilled 3D Digitizing Application Engineer to support metrology customers across Pre-Sales and Post-Sales functions. Work closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Training teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences and ensure successful adoption of scanning, printing, and CAD/CAM workflows.

The role involves problem-solving, teaching, and supporting customers across a wide range of technical touchpoints.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in metrology, engineering, manufacturing or quality control preferred.
2+ years in a technical role; experience with 3D scanners, CMM, CAD/CAM or metrology software is a plus.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings for dimensional control; GD&T experience is a plus.
Professional demeanor and confidence in presenting to groups.
Self-motivated and able to work independently and with management and sales teams.

Responsibilities

Perform installation, training, demo and support for customers, in-house and on-site.
Support sales through the sales process by recommending products for customer applications.
Stay updated on competitor information and market trends.
Cooperate with sales to identify leads and opportunities.
Serve as primary technical contact for troubleshooting, maintenance, and service.
Represent SHINING 3D at webinars, virtual events and trade shows when applicable.
Travel required to support responsibilities.
