Job summary

RTI International is seeking part-time Survey Administrators for a school-based, computerized study. The role involves administering surveys in classrooms, coordinating with school staff, and organizing make-up sessions.

The position supports the National Youth Risk Behavior Study (YRBS) across multiple states and requires travel, data collection, and training through June 2027. Approximately 20 hours per week, with field days and occasional overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking)
• Available for training and data collection period
• Must have a valid US driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle
• Comfortable using RTI issued tablet and laptop, and data transmission equipment
• Able to keep project information confidential
• Willing to work in various weather conditions and after dark
• Willingness to drive up to three hours from home to assigned schools, including overnight stays

Responsibilities

• Travel frequently to selected locations to administer surveys or assessments
• Interact with students and school staff to coordinate survey activities
• Follow up on data collection information with schools and staff
• Host meetings with school staff to prepare survey dates and logistics
• Track parental consent and student eligibility for participation
• Complete Time and Expense reports and attend project team meetings
• Safeguard equipment and materials issued for the project
• Work in classroom or field environments and assist with proctoring surveys
