Job summary

Outlook Therapeutics, Inc. is seeking a Field Reimbursement professional to drive access for retina products in the US. The role requires building payer know-how, supporting launch readiness, and serving as the primary reimbursement resource for ophthalmology practices across assigned territories.

You will collaborate with sales and patient services, lead quarterly business reviews, analyze denials, and guide offices through prior authorization and appeals. Travel 50-75% is expected.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of combined experience in reimbursement, market access, patient services, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of dedicated field reimbursement experience.
• Experience navigating Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and commercial payer coverage.
• Experience with benefit verification, prior authorization, claims support, and appeals.
• Experience using claims data to identify denial trends and coding barriers.
• Strong communication to build trust with office staff without promotional talk.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and Excel.
• Willingness to travel 50-75% with valid driver’s license.
• Demonstrated compliance mindset in a regulated field.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary field reimbursement resource for practice admins, billing/coding staff, and clinical teams.
• Educate on payer coverage policy, billing/coding, prior authorization, and clean-claim submission.
• Guide practices through prior-authorization and appeals processes.
• Connect practices to patient-support resources when needed.
• Own defined territory and build trust as the first reimbursement contact.
• Lead quarterly business reviews and plan to fix denials.
• Monitor denials and plan proactive resolution with sales alignment.
• Coordinate with Sales for consistent messaging.
• Analyze claims data to spot denial patterns and payer quirks.
• Map payer landscape to support US launch readiness.
