Job summary

Outlook Therapeutics is seeking an Access & Reimbursement Manager for the Upper Midwest/Plains region. This field-based role requires 50–70% travel within a defined retina/ophthalmology territory, driving payer coverage, prior authorization, and education for practice staff to support a U.S.

product launch. You will own reimbursement accounts, conduct quarterly reviews, analyze denial trends, and collaborate with Sales and Market Access to ensure consistent messaging across all accounts.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of reimbursement/market access experience in pharma or biotech.
• Experience with Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and commercial payer coverage.
• Experience with benefit verification, prior authorization, claims support, and appeals.
• Ability to analyze claims data to identify denial trends.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build trust with office staff.
• Proficient in CRM systems and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary field reimbursement resource for practices.
• Educate staff on payer coverage, billing, coding, and prior-authorization.
• Guide practices through prior-authorization and appeals processes.
• Connect practices to patient-support resources.
• Own retina accounts and build trust as first reimbursement contact.
• Lead quarterly business reviews and analyze reimbursement trends.
• Monitor denials and plan targeted improvements.
• Coordinate with Sales for consistent messaging.
• Analyze claims data to spot denial patterns and policy shifts.
• Feed access input to market strategy before approval.
• Collaborate with Patient Services to ensure smooth handoffs.
