Job summary

Compass Pathways is seeking a Therapeutic Sales Specialist to drive adoption of a new mental health therapy at certified treatment centers. You will work field-based to develop partnerships with psychiatrists and healthcare providers, guiding patient access and referral pathways while aligning with safety and regulatory frameworks.

You will lead clinical education, account management, and cross-functional collaboration to support a successful launch, traveling up to 70% as geography requires.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
• 5–8+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech sales experience, preferably in specialty or complex therapeutic areas
• Experience in psychiatry, CNS, or behavioral health markets is preferred
• Experience launching novel therapies or operating in pre-launch environments is highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Execute territory-level commercial strategy to support launch and uptake of therapy
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with psychiatrists, treatment centers, and health systems
• Deliver scientifically accurate, compliant education to healthcare providers
• Identify appropriate patients and guide referral pathways
• Collaborate with treatment sites to support onboarding and optimization of delivery workflows
• Navigate site-of-care dynamics including scheduling and patient flow
• Partner with Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Commercial Ops to ensure coordinated execution
• Support patient access by understanding reimbursement pathways and payer processes
• Gather field insights to inform brand strategy and patient journey optimization
• Manage territory planning, call planning, and performance tracking
• Demonstrate ethical, compliant, patient-centric engagement
