Job summary

Compass Pathways seeks a Therapeutic Sales Specialist to drive adoption of an innovative mental health therapy within a field-based role across a defined territory. You will build relationships with psychiatrists, treatment centers, and health systems, delivering compliant, scientifically based education.

You will collaborate with Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Operations to ensure access and successful launch, traveling up to 70% to meet providers and sites of care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (advanced degree preferred).
• 5–8+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech sales experience, preferably in specialty or complex therapeutic areas.
• Experience in psychiatry, CNS, or behavioral health markets (preferred).
• Medical and pharmacy benefit reimbursement experience (buy-and-bill, payer processes).
• Proven track record of launching novel therapies or operating in pre-launch environments.
• Strong clinical acumen; ability to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly.
• Highly collaborative, with the ability to work across cross-functional teams.
• Strong business acumen, territory management, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute territory-level commercial strategy to support launch and uptake of the therapy.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with psychiatrists, treatment centers, behavioral health systems, and other stakeholders.
• Deliver scientifically accurate, compliant, and compelling product education to healthcare providers.
• Identify appropriate patients and assist with understanding patient selection and referral pathways.
• Collaborate with certified treatment sites to onboard, readiness, and optimize delivery workflows.
• Navigate site-of-care dynamics, including scheduling, patient flow, and operational considerations.
• Partner cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Support, and Commercial Operations.
• Support patient access by understanding reimbursement pathways and payer challenges.
• Gather and communicate field insights to inform brand strategy and launch execution.
• Manage territory business planning, including account prioritization and call planning.
• Demonstrate ethical, compliant, patient-centric behaviors; contribute to team culture.
