Job summary

Compass Pathways is seeking a Therapeutic Sales Specialist to drive the adoption of a novel mental health therapy across certified treatment centers in Manhattan. The role is field-based with travel up to 70%, reporting to the Regional Sales Director.

You will educate clinicians, build relationships with psychiatrists and health systems, and navigate reimbursement to enable patient access. Prior launch experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5–8+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech sales experience in specialty or complex therapies.
• Experience in psychiatry, CNS, or behavioral health markets.
• Experience with reimbursement pathways and payer processes is preferred.
• Proven success launching novel therapies or operating in pre-launch environments.

Responsibilities

• Execute territory-level commercial strategy to support launch and uptake.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with psychiatrists, treatment centers, behavioral health systems.
• Deliver scientifically accurate, compliant education to healthcare providers.
• Identify appropriate patients and support referral pathways.
• Collaborate with treatment sites to onboard and optimize delivery workflows.
• Navigate site-of-care dynamics and scheduling.
• Partner with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Support, and Commercial Operations.
• Support patient access by understanding reimbursement pathways.
• Gather and communicate actionable field insights to inform brand strategy.
• Manage territory business planning, including call planning and performance tracking.
• Demonstrate ethical, patient-centric behaviors.
• Contribute to culture of collaboration and learning within sales team.
