Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a field-based General Maintenance Technician to support maintenance at assigned stores across the district. You will travel to sites to resolve entry-level repairs, perform preventative maintenance, and educate store leadership on best practices to extend equipment life.

You will use the CMMS to document work orders, coordinate with store leadership and maintenance vendors, and may perform after-hours urgent repairs while upholding safety and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or applicable experience.
• Active Driver's License
• Willingness to travel up to 100%
• Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Background Check

Responsibilities

• Travel to sites where maintenance concerns are reported by store leadership.
• Troubleshoot and verify asset information for on-site service projects.
• Support entry level repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Document tickets and resolve within designated time frames.
• Train on root cause of issues when necessary.
• Occasional after-hours work may be required.
• On-site checklists to assess preventive maintenance and educate leadership.
