Job summary

The Dollar General field-based General Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting maintenance across assigned stores within a geographic area. The role requires daily site visits, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment longevity.

You will document work using the CMMS, educate store leaders on best practices, and collaborate with store leaders and suppliers to resolve tickets promptly. Some after-hours work may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Active Driver's License required.
• Willingness to travel up to 100%.
• Ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Travel to Dollar General stores to respond to maintenance tickets.
• Troubleshoot and document asset information for on-site projects.
• Provide preventative maintenance guidance and assist with entry-level repairs.
• Document tickets and resolve within designated timeframes.
• Educate store leadership on maintenance best practices.
• Occasionally perform after-hours work based on urgency.
