Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a field-based General Maintenance Technician to support maintenance across stores in a geographic area. You will travel to sites, troubleshoot issues, perform preventative maintenance, and educate store leaders on best practices to extend equipment life.

You will document activities in CMMS and coordinate with leadership across levels. Eligible candidates may have prior retail experience and must be able to travel up to 100% and lift 50 lbs or more.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or applicable experience required.
• Active Driver's License required.
• Willingness to travel up to 100%.
• Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Travel to sites where maintenance concerns were reported by store leadership.
• Troubleshoot and verify asset information for on-site projects; guide leadership on solutions.
• Support entry level maintenance and assess safety equipment per local ordinances.
• Document and resolve tickets within designated time frames.
• Provide training to root causes of issues when necessary.
• Occasional after-hours work may be required based on urgency.
• Perform preventative maintenance checks and educate store leadership on processes.
