Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Field-based General Maintenance Technician to support maintenance across assigned stores within a geographic area. You will respond in person to tickets, perform preventative maintenance, and educate store leaders on best practices to extend equipment life.

You will use the CMMS to document work, travel up to 100% as needed, and collaborate with store leadership and vendors to ensure quick, reliable repairs and adherence to maintenance standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or applicable experience.
• Active Driver's License.
• Willingness to travel up to 100%.
• Ability to pass Motor Vehicle Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Travel to store sites to address maintenance concerns.
• Troubleshoot and verify asset information for on-site service projects.
• Support entry-level maintenance and assess safety equipment per local ordinances.
• Document tickets and resolve within designated time frames.
• Provide root-cause training when necessary.
• Occasional after-hours work may be required.
• Perform on-site checklists to determine preventative maintenance opportunities and educate leadership.
