Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a field-based General Maintenance Technician to support maintenance across stores in the region. You will travel to sites, troubleshoot and verify asset information, guide leadership on operational solutions, and perform preventative maintenance.

Using CMMS to document and communicate, you will train store leaders on maintenance best practices to prolong the life of coolers, freezers, and equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 100%.
• Experience with basic maintenance and preventative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Travel to sites where maintenance concerns are reported by store leadership.
• Troubleshoot, collect and verify asset information for on-site service projects.
• Support entry level maintenance and preventative tasks as needed.
• Document tickets and resolve them within designated time frames.
• Provide root-cause training to staff when necessary.
• Occasional after-hours work based on urgency of repairs.
• Run on-site checklists to determine preventive maintenance opportunities.
