State of Oklahoma is seeking a Literacy Coach to serve as an instructional leader in reading development. The role emphasizes explicit, multisensory literacy instruction and interventions tailored to individual needs, with compliance to the Strong Reader’s Act and collaboration with IEP/504 teams.

This position is 90% field-based with travel to coaching schools, statewide professional development, and regular State Department meetings.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, Literacy, or a related field required.
• 5 years of successful literacy instruction experience (primarily elementary/early childhood) or
• Master’s degree in education and three (3) years of successful literacy instruction experience;
• Completion of 30+ hours of literacy training based on the science of reading (e.g., LETRS, AIM Pathways, IMSE).
• Pass the Oklahoma Foundations of Reading test within 6 months of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Provide literacy instruction leadership and intervention planning.
• Collaborate with schools, districts, and families to promote literacy initiatives.
• Ensure alignment with IEPs, 504 plans, and state literacy standards.
• Stay informed on state/national literacy policies and assessments.
