Oklahoma State Department of Education is seeking a Literacy Coach to lead evidence-based reading instruction, ensuring compliance with the Strong Readers Act and district literacy standards. You will collaborate with special education teams to align IEPs and 504 plans while supporting teachers and schools statewide.

The role requires field travel (90%) to coaching sites and occasional statewide professional development, with a focus on improving literacy outcomes across grades.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, Literacy, or related field
• Five years of successful literacy instruction experience
• Master’s degree in education with three years of literacy instruction experience
• Valid Oklahoma teaching certificate
• 30+ hours of literacy training (LET RS, AIM Pathways, IMSE)
• Pass the Oklahoma Foundations of Reading test within 6 months of hire

Responsabilidades

• Provide instructional leadership to support reading development and evidence-based literacy instruction
• Ensure compliance with the Strong Readers Act and state literacy standards
• Collaborate with special education teams to align IEPs, 504 plans, and literacy practices
• Develop targeted intervention plans for struggling readers
• Build partnerships with educators, families, and communities to implement literacy programs
• Stay informed about state and national literacy policies and assessments
