Job summary

HRU Technical Resources in Mahwah, NJ, seeks a Field-Based Consultant to improve dealership service operations. This position involves operational assessments, Express Service implementation, and coaching across service departments to enhance customer experience and workflow efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years in automotive fixed operations and strong analytical and communication skills. A bachelor’s degree in progress is preferred. Travel up to 80% is required for this dynamic role.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in automotive fixed operations (Express Service or Quick Lube strongly preferred).
• Proven ability to coach, train, and influence dealership personnel.
• Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting KPIs and service data.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Highly organized and self-motivated with the ability to manage a travel-heavy schedule.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to travel up to 80%, including overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth evaluations of dealership service operations.
• Lead the design and launch of Express Service operations.
• Provide on-site coaching to service advisors, consultants, and technicians.
• Monitor key performance indicators and provide ongoing feedback.
