Job summary

Progressive is seeking an auto damage claims adjuster based in Salisbury, MD. You will be the primary contact for customers, directing the repair process end-to-end and negotiating with body shops while managing your own workload in the field.

The role emphasizes leadership, conflict management, and strong attention to detail to provide excellent customer service. Some reporting to an office may occur.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of relevant work experience with one year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience.
• Alternate: Associate's degree with three years' relevant experience and one year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience.
• Alternate: Bachelor's degree with one year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle inspections, write estimates, determine total loss evaluations, and set clear expectations and timelines.
• Negotiate repair process with body shops.
• Document information related to the claim and decisions per standards and laws.
• Evaluate and handle claim payments and resolution of claims without payments.
• Review and determine validity of any supplement requests.
