Job summary

Progressive is seeking an auto damage claims adjuster to act as the point of contact for customers, directing the repair process from start to finish. You will manage your own inventory, negotiate with body shops, and assess liability, while delivering excellent customer service.

This field role includes a company car with travel within the assigned territory, occasional office reporting, and collaboration with internal teams to ensure timely claim resolution.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of relevant work experience with one year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience.
• Associate's degree plus three years of relevant experience with one year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience.
• Bachelor's degree plus one year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience.
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and compliance with Progressive policies.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle inspections, write estimates and determine total loss evaluations.
• Negotiate repair processes with body shops.
• Document claim information and decisions per standards and local laws.
• Evaluate claim payments and resolve claims without payments.
• Review supplement requests for validity.
