Job summary

Progressive is seeking an auto damage claims adjuster for field work in the Santa Cruz, CA area. You will inspect vehicles, write estimates, and manage claim decisions while coordinating with body shops and customers.

A company car is provided, with travel within the assigned region. You will operate independently yet as part of a team, with responsibilities across negotiation, documentation, and adherence to claims standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience with 1 year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience.
• Associate's degree + 3 years relevant experience with 1 year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience.
• Bachelor's degree + 1 year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle inspections, write estimates, determine total loss evaluations and set timelines.
• Negotiate repair process with body shops.
• Document claim information and decisions per standards and local laws.
• Evaluate and handle claim payments and resolution of claims without payments.
• Review and determine validity of any supplement requests.
