Job summary

Progressive is seeking an auto damage claims adjuster to serve as the primary contact with customers, directing and deciding the repair process from start to finish.

This field role includes a company car, frequent travel within the assigned geographic area, and occasional office visits; candidates must reside in Fresno, Visalia, or Tulare, CA and be prepared for field work. You will also negotiate with body shops and ensure timely, fair resolutions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant work experience in claims or insurance.
• One year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree required as options.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle inspections, write estimates, determine total loss evaluations, and set clear expectations and timelines
• Negotiate repair process with body shops
• Document information related to the claim and make decisions consistent with claims standards and local laws
• Evaluate and handle claim payments and resolution of claims without payments
• Review and determine validity of any supplement requests
