Job summary

Progressive is hiring an auto damage claims adjuster to act as the primary contact in guiding repairs from start to finish. You will manage your own workload, collaborate with body shops, and negotiate pricing while assessing liability.

The role involves field work with a company car and occasional office visits within your geographical area. Preferred candidates are in the Austin, TX area and possess strong leadership, conflict management, and customer service skills to deliver excellent

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant work experience with 1 year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience
• Associate's degree + 3+ years relevant experience with 1 year appraisal/estimatics or insurance
• Bachelor's degree + 1 year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle inspections, write estimates, determine total loss evaluations, and set timelines
• Negotiate repair process with body shops
• Document claim information and ensure compliance with standards/laws
• Evaluate and handle claim payments and resolution of claims without payments
• Review and determine validity of any supplement requests
