Job summary

Progressive is hiring an auto damage claims adjuster to act as the primary contact with customers, guiding the repair process from start to finish. You’ll manage your own assignments, coordinate with body shops, and negotiate repair pricing while evaluating liability.

This field role may require occasional office reporting and travel within the designated territory. Responsibilities include inspecting vehicles, writing estimates, evaluating total loss, and handling claim payments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant work experience with 1 year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience
• Associate's degree + 3+ years relevant experience with 1 year appraisal/estimatics/insurance experience
• Bachelor's degree + 1 year appraisal/estimatics/insurance experience
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and compliance with Progressive’s driving standards and policies

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle inspections, write estimates and determine total loss evaluations
• Negotiate repair process with body shops
• Document claim information and ensure compliance with standards and laws
• Evaluate and handle claim payments and resolution of claims without payments
• Review and determine validity of any supplement requests
