Job summary

Progressive is seeking an auto damage claims adjuster for field work with a company car and travel within the Santa Cruz area. You will inspect vehicles, write estimates, set timelines, negotiate with body shops, and document claims to ensure fair resolutions.

You may report to an office occasionally as needed. Ideal candidates bring leadership, conflict management, strong attention to detail, and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of relevant work experience with one year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience.
• Associate's degree plus three years of relevant experience (or Bachelor's with one year).
• Valid driver’s license and compliance with company driving standards.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle inspections, write estimates and total loss evaluations.
• Negotiate repair process with body shops and document claim details.
• Evaluate claim payments and pursue timely resolutions; review supplements.
