Helmerich and Payne is hiring a Fixed Asset Accountant to join the finance team on onsite assignments, with field site travel of up to 20% and a focus on asset costs and inventory reconciliation.

The role requires a Bachelor degree in Accounting, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and strong analytical and communication skills. Willingness to work at rig/sites and collaborate across departments is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting (or related field) is required.
• Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.
• Must be willing to work outside (rig site) for long periods and travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Analyze costs and prepare accounting journals for fixed assets and warehouse inventory accounts.
• Perform physical inventories of fixed assets at yard/vendor/rig locations.
• Perform warehouse inventory audits and attach asset ID tags on capital fixed assets.
• Reconcile physical inventories to accounting records and maintain asset/inventory balances.
• Suggest improvements to inventory processes for accuracy and efficiency.
• Participate in accounting special projects and take timely corrective actions.
