Job summary

Helmerich and Payne is seeking a Fixed Asset Accountant for our Tulsa/OdessaHouston locations with onsite work and field site travel. The role focuses on analyzing costs, preparing journals for fixed assets and inventory, and reconciling assets with financial records.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Accounting, strong analytical and communication skills, and willingness to travel up to 20% with long rig-site assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting (or related field)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
• Willing to work outside at rig sites for extended periods
• Some travel up to 20%
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
• Self-motivated and proactive

Responsibilities

• Analyze costs and prepare accounting journals for fixed assets and warehouse inventory accounts
• Perform physical inventories of fixed assets at yard/vendor/rig locations
• Perform warehouse inventory audits
• Attach asset ID tags on capital fixed assets
• Reconcile physical inventories with accounting records
• Maintain accounting records of fixed assets and warehouse inventory balances
• Suggest changes to inventory processes for efficiency and accuracy
• Participate in accounting special projects
• Take corrective action per company policy
