Job summary

Helmerich and Payne seeks a Fixed Asset Accountant to join our finance team. You will analyze costs, prepare journals for fixed assets and inventory, and perform physical inventories at yard, rig, and vendor locations.

This onsite role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to travel up to 20%. You will support asset tagging and reconcile inventories to the records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Willing to work outside on rig sites for long periods.
• Some travel required (up to ~20%).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze costs and prepare accounting journals for fixed assets and warehouse inventory accounts.
• Perform physical inventories of fixed assets at yard/vendor/rig locations.
• Conduct warehouse inventory audits.
• Attach asset ID tags on capital fixed assets.
• Reconcile physical equipment inventories to accounting records.
• Maintain accounting records of fixed assets and warehouse inventory balances.
• Suggest changes to inventory processes for efficiency and accuracy.
• Participate in assigned accounting special projects.
• Take timely corrective action per company policy.
