Job summary

Helmerich & Payne, Inc. is seeking a Fixed Asset Accountant to join the finance team onsite. The role focuses on analyzing costs, preparing journals for fixed assets and inventory, and performing physical inventories at yard, vendor, and rig locations.

Occasional travel and strong attention to detail are required. The position offers comprehensive benefits and a commitment to diverse, inclusive workplaces. Location flexibility includes Tulsa, OK; Odessa, TX; and Houston, TX, with on-site work

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Accounting or related field is required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required.
Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

Analyze costs and prepare accounting journals for fixed assets and warehouse inventory accounts.
Perform physical inventories of fixed assets at yard/vendor/rig locations.
Perform warehouse inventory audits and reconcile with accounting records.
Attach asset ID tags on capital fixed assets.
Maintain accounting records of fixed assets and warehouse inventory balances.
Suggest improvements to inventory processes for efficiency and accuracy.
Participate in accounting special projects as assigned.
Take corrective actions timely per company policy.
Demonstrate H&P values in daily work.
