Job summary

Helmerich & Payne, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant – Fixed Assets to maintain the asset subledger, ensure accurate depreciation and disposals, and support capital project accounting.

You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure GAAP compliance and strong internal controls. The role requires 5+ years in fixed asset accounting, experience with Oracle ERP and advanced Excel, and a detail-oriented, analytical mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with fixed assets.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and fixed asset accounting.
• Experience with ERP systems; Oracle preferred.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintain fixed asset subledger with accurate capitalization, depreciation, transfers, retirements, and disposals.
• Reconcile fixed asset subledger to general ledger and ensure asset balance accuracy.
• Collaborate with project managers to monitor capital costs and proper accounting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries and reconciliations for fixed assets.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and company policy adherence for capitalization thresholds.
