Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Archaeological staff member to join the Environmental Services Cultural Resources Team. Based in Albuquerque, NM, you will support field directors, conduct cultural surveys, and help document archaeological sites while traveling as needed.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team, have a Bachelor's in Anthropology/Archaeology, and gain CRM experience. The role includes fieldwork in remote areas and promotion of safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology or Archaeology.
• 1 year minimum CRM experience.
• Experience with both small and large archaeological crews.

Responsibilities

• Directly support field directors and project managers with pre-field planning, cultural surveys, and monitoring.
• Exhibit good field skills and can work independently and as part of a crew.
• Participate in identifying and recording areas of archaeological potential, archaeological sites, and traditional use sites.
• Collect appropriate field data.
• Support construction planning.
