Job summary

Roche is seeking a Field Applications Specialist to join the Southwest Customer Support team, primarily supporting the Albuquerque, NM region. You will provide best-in-class on-site support for Roche diagnostic instruments, teach operators, and troubleshoot issues throughout the product life cycle.

The ideal candidate has a biology/chemistry/clinical lab background and at least 3 years in a clinical lab or IT environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, life sciences or clinical laboratory field.
• At least 3 years in a clinical lab or IT in a clinical lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships and ensure satisfaction in the customer’s lab.
• Install and validate complex diagnostic instruments, software, and reagent applications at customer sites.
• Deliver on-site training to laboratory personnel on Roche systems, operation theory, workflow, QC and data interpretation.
• Serve as the on-site resource for complex instrument, software and assay issues; perform root-cause analysis.
• Provide scientific and applications expertise to lab stakeholders and healthcare professionals.
• Collect customer feedback and relay insights to support and commercial teams.
• Support pre-sales activities with product demonstrations and technical consultations; assist post-sales activities.
• Maintain Roche protocols in the field and keep accurate records in Roche CRM; handle travel/expense reporting.
