Oxford Nanopore Technologies Ltd. seeks a Field Applications Scientist to drive technology adoption, support business growth, and ensure customer success across the Southern Plains region.

You will partner with Sales and cross-functional teams to provide technical guidance, training, and solutions for customers and prospects. The role is highly customer-facing, requiring exceptional communication, scientific credibility, and the ability to deliver engaging technical content across diverse

Formación

• PhD preferred; or Master’s with relevant commercial, customer-facing, or scientific applications experience.
• Strong lab background in molecular biology, genomics, sequencing, or related field.
• Experience supporting experimental design, sample prep, workflow optimization, and data analysis.
• Exceptional scientific communicator and presenter who translates complex concepts for customers.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong organization to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsabilidades

• Partner with Sales to support commercial opportunities and provide technical expertise throughout the customer lifecycle.
• Deliver pre-sales and post-sales technical support, including consultations, workflow discussions, training, and troubleshooting.
• Build and maintain strong technical relationships to ensure adoption of ONT technologies.
• Deliver presentations, workshops, seminars, and training to diverse audiences.
• Collaborate with Technical Services, Sales, Product Management, Marketing, and other teams to achieve objectives.
• Develop and execute engagement plans for strategic accounts aligned to customer needs and priorities.
• Provide timely customer, market, and competitive feedback to internal stakeholders.
• Document customer interactions and support activities in CRM systems.
• Support colleagues and strategic initiatives beyond assigned territory when required.
