Job summary

Waters is seeking a Field Applications Specialist ScM – West to support single cell analysis customers across the region. You will install instruments, train users, and provide hands-on scientific support in genomics, proteomics, and NGS workflows.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, travel extensively, and contribute to VOC and R&D beta testing to improve products. A MS/PhD in life sciences and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years’ hands-on single cell analysis with genomics/proteomics/NGS.
Minimum 2 years’ internal or field scientific customer support in single cell analysis.
Strong understanding of laboratory workflows across varied settings.
Knowledge or willingness to learn field scientific support and customer-facing techniques.
Effective project management and goal-setting skills.
Passion for customer centricity and Voice of Customer.
Must hold a valid state driver’s license with 3 years driving history.
MS or PhD in life sciences.

Responsibilities

Install instruments and provide applications training in the assigned region.
Deliver technical support and assist in pre-sale and post-sale activities.
Travel up to 60% to support customers and field teams.
Maintain communication with customers to ensure satisfaction and feedback is captured.
Contribute to VOC, R&D beta tests and product improvements.
Adhere to BD auto safety standards and regulatory requirements.
