Job summary

Roche is seeking a Field Applications Specialist to be the primary scientific and technical resource in the Mid-South region, primarily supporting the Houston area for Roche systems in core lab settings. You will install, train, troubleshoot, and optimize instrumentation and assays across the product lifecycle, delivering on-site support and customer training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory, and/or relevant experience.
• 3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory or IT in a clinical lab environment.
• Experience with Roche solutions and knowledge of clinical chemistry and immunoassay is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support, installation, training, and troubleshooting for Roche systems in customer laboratories.
• Validate system performance and ensure cohesive application of new solutions.
• Deliver on-site training to laboratory personnel on Roche systems, theory of operation, workflow and QC.
• Resolve complex technical issues and perform root cause analysis to minimize downtime.
