Job summary

Roche Diagnostics in California, South San Francisco, is seeking a Field Engineering Specialist to install, maintain, and optimize Roche diagnostics instrumentation at customer sites. You will serve as a technical expert, ensuring maximum instrument uptime and high customer satisfaction in fast-paced healthcare settings.

The role requires strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting, independent work, and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Medical Technology, or related technical discipline; or equivalent military/technical experience.
3+ years of field service or engineering experience supporting medical devices, laboratory instrumentation, or analytical equipment.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems.
Strong knowledge of electronics.
Strong knowledge of computer hardware.
Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems.
Strong knowledge of basic networking concepts.
Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to travel extensively (50-80%) within assigned territory.
Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and validate Roche diagnostic analyzers and laboratory automation systems.
Perform instrument qualification and verification according to Roche and regulatory standards.
Train laboratory personnel on basic operation and maintenance procedures.
