Job summary

Kingfisher Recruiting is assisting a client in finding an Electrical Application Engineer for a field-facing role that blends engineering, sales, and product development. You will work directly with customers to design and implement electrical solutions across industrial markets.

You will translate requirements into manufacturable solutions, configure products, and provide technical support from concept through deployment, including field startup and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline required.
• 5+ years of technical field, applications engineering, or similar hands-on experience.
• Experience in oil & gas, mining, power generation, heavy industrial, or similar environments.
• Familiarity with sensor technologies, industrial monitoring systems, electronics, and network communications.
• Knowledge of Modbus, 4–20mA, Relay logic and other industrial protocols.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep expertise in the company's products, technologies, and applications across industrial markets.
• Partner with sales professionals to understand customer requirements and recommend the right technical solution.
• Translate customer needs into manufacturable system and product solutions.
• Configure standard products and systems to meet application-specific requirements.
• Design customized solutions incorporating internal products as well as third-party technologies.
• Perform engineering calculations and technical analysis to support product selection and recommendations.
• Serve as a primary technical point of contact for customers throughout the sales and implementation process.
• Clearly communicate product capabilities and technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Create application drawings, technical documentation, specifications, and training materials.
• Support system design, testing, verification, installation, programming, commissioning, and startup activities.
• Troubleshoot equipment in the field, over the phone, and via electronic support.
• Provide technical and product training to customers and sales teams.
• Test new and existing equipment to verify performance against specifications.
• Help evaluate new products for field deployment.
• Provide feedback to engineering teams on product performance and field issues.
• Participate in the design and development of new products and enhancements.
• Coordinate outside engineering resources as needed.
• Accompany sales on customer visits and participate in technical presentations.
• Support responses to RFIs and RFQs.
