Job summary

ZEISS is seeking a Field Applications Engineer to support pre-sales demonstrations and post-sales application of hardware and software systems. You will work with the sales team, deliver customer trainings, and help customers apply ZEISS technology for accurate metrology and data analysis.

The role emphasizes technical consultation, problem solving, and client-facing communication. The position is based in Wixom, MI, offering a hybrid work model with travel across the USA and internationally.

Qualifications

Four-year degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics required.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
Understanding of 3D math and programming in modern languages.
Excellent verbal communication and ability to present technical info to audiences.

Responsibilities

Provide technical consultation to field sales and IM dealer network on advanced applications and systems.
Plan and perform high-quality customer demonstrations, in-house and in the field.
Provide technical training to field personnel and dealer network.
Support IT-related issues including Windows, networking, and databases.
