Job summary

Acloché LLC is seeking an Electrical Application Engineer to bridge engineering, sales and field service in demanding industrial environments. You will design and implement practical solutions, drawing on deep product knowledge and hands‑on problem solving.

Based in the United States, you will collaborate with customers, vendors and internal teams to tailor systems, perform calculations, support installation and startup, and translate technical concepts for both technical and non‑technical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• 5+ years of technical field or applications engineering experience.
• Experience in oil & gas, mining, power generation, heavy industrial environments.
• Familiarity with sensor technologies, industrial monitoring systems, electronics, and network communications.
• Knowledge of Modbus, 4–20mA, Relay logic, and other common industrial protocols.
• Understanding of hazardous locations and equipment ratings.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to manage multiple technical projects and priorities.
• Ability to translate complex technical information for customers.
• Strong technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop expertise in the company's products and applications across industrial markets.
• Partner with sales to understand customer requirements and recommend the right technical solution.
• Translate customer needs into manufacturable system and product solutions.
• Configure standard products to meet application-specific requirements.
• Design customized solutions using internal products and third-party technologies.
• Perform engineering calculations to support product selection and recommendations.
• Serve as primary technical contact for customers during sales and deployment.
• Clearly communicate product capabilities and technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Create drawings, technical documentation, specifications, and training materials.
• Support system design, testing, verification, installation, programming, commissioning, and startup activities.
• Troubleshoot equipment and systems in the field, over the phone, and via electronic support.
• Provide engineering training to customers, sales teams, and stakeholders.
• Test new and existing equipment to verify performance against specifications.
• Provide feedback to product teams on field issues and improvements.
• Participate in design and development of new products and enhancements.
• Coordinate outside engineering resources as needed.
• Attend customer visits and participate in technical presentations and conference calls.
• Support responses to RFIs and RFQs.
• Identify additional customer needs and opportunities for growth.
