Job summary

Toyota Automated Logistics is seeking a Field Application Engineer for the Memphis, TN market, to promote automation technologies and develop strong relations with industrial and distribution clients. The role involves outbound prospecting, tailoring solutions with AS/RS, robotics, and other material handling technologies, and collaboration with internal teams to deliver optimal systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical or MET preferred).
• 2+ years work engineering experience outside of academia.
• Technical sales experience in industrial sector preferred.
• Material handling automation design and sales experience.
• Must be eligible to work in the US long term without sponsorship.
• Excellent presentation skills and ability to develop customer relationships.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% (overnight).

Responsibilities

• Generate target accounts and perform outbound outreach (phone, virtual, in-person).
• Aim to secure new buying accounts and meet sales quota.
• Develop strong relationships with customers through timely visits.
• Assess needs and present tailored automation solutions.
• Sell a wide range of products and services to meet customer needs.
• Collaborate with Toyota Automated Logistics entities to provide best solution.
• Provide professional sales quotes in a timely manner.
• Master business technology (AutoCad, CRM, PowerPoint).
• Pursue leads from the company website and suppliers.
• Maintain customer data in CRM.
• Communicate strategic information regarding suppliers, customers and competition.
• Network with business contacts within the territory and industry.
• Master product information through training and personal effort.
