Job summary

Xynova in San Francisco is seeking a Product Technical Support & Delivery specialist to lead end-to-end support for robotic arm products. You will install, debug, and validate systems on-site, provide expert troubleshooting, and deliver compelling demos at exhibitions.

Applicants should have a robotics engineering background, ROS2 skills, Python proficiency, and able to communicate with both US clients in English and the R&D team in Chinese. Willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Automation, Mechatronics, Robotics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Intelligent Manufacturing, or related fields.
• Experience with robotic arm technology and on-site deployment is preferred.
• Proficiency with ROS1/ROS2; hands-on RVIZ and MoveIt2 experience.
• Linux basics, SSH debugging, and reading ROS logs.
• Python programming; ability to call robotic arm SDKs for tests.
• Strong English for US clients and Chinese communication with R&D.

Job description

• Product Technical Support & Delivery: Manage the full lifecycle of technical support for the company’s robotic arm products, including pre-sales, during-sales, and after-sales. Provide professional technical consulting and solution presentations to clients.
• Installation & Debugging: Responsible for on-site installation, power-on debugging, communication adaptation, and project acceptance of robotic arms. Independently execute the delivery and deployment of integrated arm-hand systems.
• Troubleshooting & Resolution: Handle fault diagnosis and remote/on-site issue resolution. Quickly identify and resolve issues regarding mechanical installation, motion control, communication adaptation, and software errors, establishing standardized troubleshooting workflows.
• Knowledge Base Development: Produce standardized technical materials, including user manuals, FAQs, and after-sales summaries, to enhance the internal knowledge base.
• Requirement Feedback & Closed-loop: Collect customer feedback, product issues, and scenario-specific requirements. Sync with the R&D team to assist in product optimization, feature iteration, and process improvement.
• Exhibition Support: Support marketing events and trade shows by providing product demonstrations and explanations, ensuring stable and professional technical output.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Automation, Mechatronics, Robotics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Intelligent Manufacturing, or related fields.
• Professional Skills: Understanding of collaborative and humanoid robotic arm principles. Familiarity with teaching/debugging, motion control, coordinate systems, and basic communication protocols.. Prior experience in robotic arm technical support or debugging is preferred.
• Simulation Skills: Proficiency in ROS1/ROS2, with hands-on experience using RVIZ and MoveIt2. Ability to independently perform visualization debugging and troubleshoot motion planning issues.
• System Skills: Familiarity with Linux basic operations, SSH remote debugging, and the ability to read ROS logs and debug topics.
• Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python, with the ability to call robotic arm SDKs to write simple test scripts.
• Learning Agility: Strong hands-on ability and logical thinking. Capable of independently troubleshooting hardware and software issues, with a strong ability to quickly learn new products.
• Language Skills: Ability to explain technical issues to US clients in English and communicate effectively with the Chinese R&D team in Chinese regarding actual technical details. This language requirement is essential for the direct cross-border collaboration duties of this role.
• Soft Skills & Mobility: Strong on-site service awareness, independent problem analysis, and documentation skills. Willingness to travel to customer sites as required by the position.
