Job summary

Brinks Home is seeking an Alarm Service Technician to visit customer sites, install and service low-voltage security equipment, and educate customers on system operation. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and customer focus, with opportunities for bonus and comprehensive benefits.

The position requires climbing, working in tight spaces, and a valid license; NICET I and low-voltage certification are preferred. This is a full-time on-site role based in the Fairfax area.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Good driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Working knowledge of how an alarm system operates.
• Willing to climb ladders and work at heights.
• Willing to work in tight spaces such as crawlspaces, attics and basements.
• Low-voltage license or alarm installation certification.
• NICET I certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visit customer sites to install, service, and inspect low-voltage electronic security equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems, replace components and verify operation.
• Drive to customer homes and perform service with physical tasks (up to 30 lbs).
• Conduct thorough walkthroughs to ensure customer needs are met and demonstrate system use.
• Provide recommendations to improve system usability and security.
• Maintain safety and a clean, organized job site.
